Want a homework you can use consistently every week? Want a homework that allows your students to practice essential skills, but is not excessively time consuming? Want a homework that is student and parent approved? Look no further than this Weekly Homework Bingo. Weekly Homework Bingo can be assigned as your weekly homework assignment that allows students to work on reinforcing skills in reading, spelling, and math. Each week students will get BINGO by choosing 4 options and 1 free space in a row. This allows them to work on one reading, spelling, and math option plus one extra choice depending on their preferences and learning needs.
Math options include practicing addition and subtraction flashcards, XtraMath, online math games, and a math practice page. I use practice pages that are included in our math series. You use what works best for you and your students!
Reading options include reading and then working on various ELA Common Core aligned skills such as compare/contrast, author's purpose, fact/opinion, opinion writing, main idea, story structure, etc. Raz Kids is an additional option for reading.
Spelling options include various ways to practice spelling words including Spelling City, ABC order, rainbow spelling, typing, etc.
There is also a blank bingo board included to write in options specific to your classroom. Weekly Homework Bingo is easy to grade and review at the end of the week, and includes a variety of options to meet all students' learning styles. Thanks for the download from Miss Kelly's Classroom! Enjoy!
