Description
This full year of 2nd Grade math homework consists of 36 weeks of fluency practice, word problems, and skill practice.
Each week consists of one Fluency page for practice with basic addition and subtraction, a Word Wonders page with 2 word problems to work out, and a Skill Practice page that is closely aligned with the assessment questions for each unit in Everyday Math (that is the curriculum I currently use). The layout of the pages are consistent every week, so students get the hang of it pretty quickly.
I love that these pages give my students practice on what they struggle with the most, basic addition/subtraction facts and word problems! Plus, it takes what they are learning in class and prepares them for the concepts that will be assessed. That way, they are more confident on the test and their parents know what is coming too.
My favorite way to use this is to staple the 3 pages each week to the Language Arts homework packet I send out on Monday, creating just one combined ELA/Math packet for me to collect on Friday. If you already have great math homework or you don't give out homework, you could also use these pages as morning work, daily practice, for early finishers, or even in math centers.
I created these to make my teacher life easier, so I really hope they help you out as well!
