This a pack contains 6 writing prompts. 4 prompts are essays and 2 prompts are paragraphs, that contain 2 prompts for those weeks to prepare for the Standardized tests we take in Colorado. Prompts vary from persuasive, expository, narrative, etc. Each prompt includes a plan (from Write Tools), except the last 2 weekly essays, as it allows students to make their own plan based on what they've learned so far. A sheet with lines for the paragraph or essay to be composed in.

*This essay bundle is a weekly assignment I give my students. They are given a week to complete these as the "you do" section of our essay unit.

In most of the prompts, rubrics are included to show students their expectations. These may be modified to fit your needs and grade level. They can also be modified to change from essays to single paragraphs. These are very versatile and prepare students for the Standardized Test at the end of the year.
