I have used this for the past four years in my classroom. It is a great tool to keep kids organized and also to comminicate with parents.
I send it home on Monday and students return it on Friday.
Each morning I check off the planner with each student. It increases my relationship with the student and the parent. I really love it.
It takes me about 10 minutes to go through each student. If they dont read then they owe me recess. ( that is up to you :)
Every morning when they come into the room I have the message on the board for the students to record. During this time is when 1 pull each student back one by one!
It was amazing how much their reading scores go up when they read every night!
