This is a fun way to engage students in reading while reviewing reading concepts. It also a way for students to be introduced to new novels or picture books. Teachers you can use these as weekly reading brain teasers that your students can try to solve. I am making a reading bulletin board with one of these questions on it per week. Students will have until Friday to answer it and then I will pick a winner to get a reward. I am encouraging students not to ask for the answer, but to find it in the book. Remind students that only one winner will be announced; therefore, if they tell others the answers they will be decreasing their chances to win. I will have the book by the bulletin so students can read or skim it to locate the answer.
