★★★ Ideal for Distance and Classroom Learning! ★★★ This print and digital lesson contains 50+ pages/slides of material. It’s a perfect lesson for anyone starting out their school year or who wants to help students understand about the reasons we should study historyeither in the classroom or via distance learning.

FAQs

Q: Do students need a textbook to use these materials?

A: No, a textbook is not required. This lesson is designed to be used with or without a textbook or other curriculum. It can be used as a supplement or on its own. Instead of relying on a textbook, students are building their own textbook with their traditional interactive notebooks, digital interactive notebook, quick pages, or combination. These resources will include all of the information they need.

Q: Can I use these resources in Google Classroom or similar digital classroom?

A: Absolutely! Google Classroom, Blackboard, and similar digital classroom environments are most certainly acceptable. But keep in mind, the environment you use must protect the documents from being accessed on the internet and the terms of use must be observed. So, posting on a personal, teacher, or district website is still not allowed. If you are unsure if your platform is allowed, drop me an email at Cori@TheHistoryAddict.com and we can figure it out together.

Q: I do not currently have a personal Google account (or only have a Google Classroom account). Is this a problem?

A: If you do not currently have a personal Google account or only have a district provided Google Classroom account, you may experience some difficulty with accessing the external links to obtain your resources. The easiest solution is to sign up for one. It’s completely free and you can get started in less than 5 minutes.

Q: I prefer to use Microsoft OneDrive (or other cloud system) to Google. Can I do this with your resource?

A: If you are a Microsoft OneDrive user or prefer to use other digital cloud services no problem. Simply download the materials to your computer then upload it to your OneDrive or cloud account.

Q: Are the products in this resource editable?

A: Some of the items in this resource are fully editable. These include the PowerPoint Companion and Assessment. Other items are partially editable. Instructions on how to work with partially editable resources are provided in the lesson instructions.

Q: I already own your Interactive Notebook (or another component)? Should I buy this item too?

A: The individual pieces of this lesson are sold as parts of the larger unit bundles. For example, if you purchased the Interactive Notebook or PowerPoint Companion, these lesson pieces are part of the bundle you already own. However, you may not own all the pieces of this lesson unless you purchased them separately. If you have considered purchasing different unit pieces that you have not tried yet, this is a great opportunity sample each.

Q: My students and I really enjoyed this lesson. I would like to purchase the whole unit. What should I buy?

A: You have several options. First, you can choose the pieces you liked the best and purchased the books or bundles which are offered at a discounted rate.

Digital / Distance Learning Interactive Notebook (Coming Soon)
Quick Pages Interactive Notebook Anchor Charts

It was a great way to transition from talking about U.S. today to begin talking about the history of the United States. It helped guide the students understanding of the shift in curriculum.
