Description

Unplugged coding for Botley has never been easier than these winter activities. 5 different activities that require little to no prep from the teacher. These activities are designed to be used with the Botley activity set or common materials like cotton balls, straws, and construction paper. No need to print out, cut out and laminate coding mats. The teacher can either put the images into a Google Slideshow or PowerPoint, or print them out and place them around them room at different stations with the robots and materials. Students will have to write code to slalom ski, shovel the driveway, or build a snow fort. During Boulder Dash, they can explore advance features of if/then, if/else coding by using the object detection feature. While figure skating, the students can use the loop feature to create their routine and if they know any of Botley's special codes, they can have him creatively take a bow.
