Practice your students' phonics skills with these color by code phonics worksheets. These color by sound sheets make practice fun! This set includes several winter holidays themed color by sound phonics worksheets.
There are 2 options for all of the color by codes (see previews for details):
- the code is written out with the sound spelling pattern and students color the matching pictures
- the code is pictures and students color rhyming words or words with the same pattern
Here's what sound spelling patterns are included:
- mixed r-controlled vowels (ar, er, ir, ur, or)
- mixed CVCe words
- mixed blends (r, s, l)
- mixed digraphs (beginning & ending-sh, ch, ph, wh, th)
- long vs short vowels
- mixed long vowels
*A key is provided for all the words that the clipart represents.*
Themes include:
- Winter color by code
- Christmas color by code
- Kwanzaa color by code (FREE)
- Hanukkah color by code (FREE)
