🎨 How to Do the Activities?

The core process involves three main steps: Seek & Find, Count, and Graph/Analyze.

  1. Seek & Find (Coloring Page Section):
  • The student examines the main image field full of different winter bears.
  • Instruction: The student is instructed to "Count Each Item." They will likely look for one specific type of bear (e.g., the bear family) and count how many times it appears.
  • Tip: Using different colored crayons/pencils for each type of bear they count can help them keep track and also serves the "Color" portion of the title.

  1. Count & Record:
  • After counting, the student records the total number for each unique bear image in the provided box next to the image.
  • This practices one-to-one correspondence (matching one number to one object) and number writing/recognition.

  1. Graph & Analyze:
  • Graphing: The student uses the numbers they recorded to fill in the bar graph (coloring up to the correct number on the grid).
  • Analysis: The student uses the graph (or their count) to answer the analysis questions, such as:
    • "Which Item did you find the most of?"
    • "Which Item did you find the least of?"
