Winter Escape Room- Snowball Fight Escape Room- Math Puzzles-Logic Puzzles PDF-DIGITAL
Are you in need of an engaging Winter activity that promotes critical thinking and problem solving in Math class?
The Snowball Fight Escape Room includes 6 Math/Logic Puzzles, ideal for students in grades 4-6, although older students may also enjoy the puzzles as a Winter/Snow Day center activity or as stations around the room. All activities are snow-themed, so the escape room could be used anytime during the Winter season or for December holiday celebrations like Christmas. Great for an easy substitute plan too!
*The PDF prints in landscape mode with 11 inch by 8.5 inch dimensions. The Google Slides version has these dimensions as well.
*You may also like the Snowman Escape Room with a different set of puzzles!
Students can work individually or with a partner or small group to solve the 6 Winter-themed puzzles. There is also a Google Slides version included with text boxes added for student typing.
IMPORTANT: The digital version requires manual teacher checking. There aren't any digital codes embedded into the slides. Please see the PREVIEW for more information about the digital version.
(Some teachers prefer to have students look at the puzzles on their Chromebook/computer and record their answers on the student worksheet.)

-Practice Makes Perfect (Multiplying, Adding, & Comparing)
-Dashing Through the Snowballs (Multiplication Facts)
-Snowball Equations
-Logic Puzzle: Snowy Sweets
Students receive an "Escape Room Code Breaker" worksheet to record their 6 answers and can show their work on the back. For each correct answer, they get a code letter to spell: WINNER to win the Snowball Fight & finish the Escape Room.
DIGITAL ACCESS:
-A Google Slides version is also provided (LINK ON LAST PAGE OF PDF) of the Escape Room with 9 slides. Students can type the answers to each puzzle on the slides. There is also a 2nd link to the digital answer keys to display on the Smartboard.
-For extra fun, print out ribbons for students to color when they finish the challenge- either "Escape Room Star" OR "I Cracked the Code!"
