Description
I created this for my high school geometry class as a fun way to review some vocabulary before winter break. It asks students to create a winter scene using the following vocabulary terms, which they have to label in their drawing- acute triangle, equilateral triangle, obtuse triangle, right triangle congruent figures, isosceles triangle, quadrilateral, pentagon, hexagon, and vertical angles.
It is differentiated because students can choose from a variety of drawings that might interest them.
The directions include definitions of the vocabulary terms as a reminder to students and there is an optional extension that students can complete in which they create 2 word problems to go along with their scenes with solutions. A fun activity would be to have students solve each other's problems after the projects are completed.
Included is a 10 point rubric as well. Hope your students enjoy applying their geometry knowledge this winter!
