Description

This includes 3 of my morning work packets:

December Kindergarten Morning Work,

January Kindergarten Morning Work, and

February Kindergarten Morning Work.

EACH PACKET Includes:

21 pages (+ 21 differentiated pages)

Daily work aligned to common core standards + weather, date, seasons review, and adjective(compliment) of the week.

UPDATE 12/10/13 -December packet-clipart printing problems fixed and font updated. 12/5/15 - Printer friendly clip art added! 2/25/15 Page numbers added to February packet. Typos fixed on pages 15 & 37.

These pages are intended to be modeled first, so that students will become familiar with the format-later they should be independent. One of my customers mentioned using themed traceable words as an addition to her class' word wall. I LOVE that idea. What a great way to build vocabulary. This may also be used as homework.

Common Core Standards included:

ELA

Segmenting Syllables Grade K–PA 2.b

Production of Initial Sounds Grade K–PA 2.d

Segmenting Three-Phoneme Words Grade1–PA 2.d

Segmenting Four-Phoneme Words With Blends Grade1–PA 2.d

Math

Cluster: Know number names and the count

sequence.

Standard 2: Count forward beginning from a

given number within the known sequence

(instead of having to begin at 1).

Standard 3: Write numbers from 0 – 20.

Represent a number of objects with a written

numeral 0 – 20 (with 0 representing a count of

no objects).

Cluster: Count to tell the number of objects.

Standard 5: Count to answer “how many?”

questions about as many as 20 things

arranged in a line, a rectangular array, or a

circle, or as many as 10 things in a scattered

configuration; given a number from 1 – 20,

count out that many objects.

Although this is aligned to kindergarten standards, it may also be used for students in first grade/second grade who are struggling or need more practice and help. It might be a great way to aid in remediation of some students. Advanced Pre-K students might also benefit.

Great value
This is a great set of booklets for my kindergarten students. The only issue is I'm having a lot of trouble with February as the title page is at the end so sending it to our printshop with the title page in the front is proving difficult. January and December booklets have a title page in the front! If you have more than a PDF viewer I'm sure you can reorder the pages.
