Winter Math Addition File Folder Activities Addends 0-10 provides an engaging hands-on approach in helping children practice addition using addends 0-10. Children will have lots of fun adding with this fun winter themed activity.

How to Use This Resource:

Find the sum that matches each addition sentence and place the piece game board.

This resource is perfect to use in a math center, 1-on-1, or independent setting! This would be a great addition to your kindergarten, 1st grade or 2nd grade class. Parents, this would also be a fun activity to incorporate in your homeschooling curriculum. This activity is low prep and can be used year after year!

►Game pieces to go with each activity

►Folder covers for each activity

►Tab labels for each activity

Instructions for Assembly:

❶Print on cardstock and/or laminate for durability.

❷Cut apart all game pieces.

❸Store cards in a plastic snack bag or pencil box.

Common Core Standards covered by this resource:

✔K.OA.A.1 Represent addition and subtraction with objects, fingers, mental images, drawings, sounds (e.g., claps), acting out situations, verbal explanations, expressions, or equations.

✔K.OA.A.5 Fluently add and subtract within 5.

✔1.OA.C.6 Add and subtract within 20, demonstrating fluency for addition and subtraction within 10. Use strategies such as counting on; making ten (e.g., 8 + 6 = 8 + 2 + 4 = 10 + 4 = 14); decomposing a number leading to a ten (e.g., 13 - 4 = 13 - 3 - 1 = 10 - 1 = 9); using the relationship between addition and subtraction (e.g., knowing that 8 + 4 = 12, one knows 12 - 8 = 4); and creating equivalent but easier or known sums (e.g., adding 6 + 7 by creating the known equivalent 6 + 6 + 1 = 12 + 1 = 13).

✔1.OA.D Work with addition and subtraction equations.

✔2.OA.B.2 Fluently add and subtract within 20 using mental strategies. By end of Grade 2, know from memory all sums of two one-digit numbers.
