Description

Students need tons of practice measuring! This is a fun way to incorporate some practice into the fun and sometimes crazy winter days…and before vacations!

Students should measure the length of the lines beneath or to the side of the object for most accurate measurements.  Please double check the measurements as some printers distort the images!

I’ve included these task cards in inches and centimeters- the measurement all work out to round numbers (whole number or to the ¼, ½, ¾ inch and whole number or to the 0.5 centimeter).

You can use these as a whole group activity by printing, cutting and laminating the cards and handing them out one per student and having them rotate the cards around the classroom. It also works great as a station science activity.

Lastly, I have included a page of CHALLENGE measurement objects for those students who finish quickly for both inches and metrics.
