Winter Olympics Math: Finding Averages

I used this activity with my middle schoolers during the Olympics and the students enjoyed the activity.

This was a great enrichment for my small group that needed a challenge.

Great practice for finding the mean, with a practical application that requires some critical thinking (realizing that the shortest time wins). One of the sheets had a minor error (I'll have to go back and look at which page), but it provided some good discussion with my students as we were able to discuss how to fix the mistake.
