Description

These one-step word problems have a Winter Olympics theme! Each of the word problems includes key math terms that help students to determine the correct operation needed to solve the problem. All four operations-- addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division are addressed.

Students are prompted to choose and circle the correct operation symbol and then write a number sentence to solve the problem.

This could be used as an assessment or as a minilesson on math operation "clue words."

Answer Key is included.
