Your students will learn about identifying and counting syllables, grouping syllables according to beat and syllable sorting. These lessons are aimed at increasing students' ability to sort out words rhythmically not only with ease but with great comprehension.

7 Step Lesson

1. Saying the word(s) aloud.

2. Identifying the number of syllables.

3. Fitting in and vocalizing the word(s) into a steady beat.

4. Identifying the number of syllables in every heartbeat.

5. Introducing & assigning

Ta to a syllable with a single beat and

Ti-Ti to 2 syllables in a beat

6. Vocalizing the rhythm syllable pattern in a steady beat.

Example: Ti-ti Ta

7. Alternating between vocalizing the rhythm syllable pattern and the given word in a steady beat.

Drum Backing Audio :

* Each lesson contains 3 exercises with drum backing audio

* According to the word(s) in the exercises.

Audio backing tracks were kept simple and straightforward in order to keep the Beat and Rhythm in check.

Lessons can be taught with OR without using the backing audio.

Tempo of Drum Backing Audio :

Each audio exercise comes in 3 different tempo selections

Slow : 70 bpm Moderate : 90 bpm Fast : 110 bpm

Tempo Challenge

Once your students have mastered the exercises using the slow and moderate tempo, challenge your students to vocalize rhythm using the fast tempo!

Audio Cue-In

All audio files begin with a 4 beat count-in before exercises begin.
