Description
This winter tree work is an extension to be used after the child has mastered the Bead Bar Layout, knows their number quantities and is able to move onto more abstract piece of work. This will help build a foundation for the numerals and and allow the child's mind to develop a better connection using an abstract way of learning.
Allow the child to create their own colorful tree work to be taken home. This is a great extension to build on their knowledge of the colors of the bead stairs, while developing their motor skills concentration, and independence with the work.
Presentation 1:
Have a tray with the colored master sheet, blank copies of the master and colored pencils. Allow the children to recreate their own Winter Tree work to take home.
Presentation 2:
Give the child a blank copy of the tree and a copy of the bead bar layout, then the child can color and cut out the bead bar layout. This can then be glued to the tree after the child has colored the tree also. Doing so give the child another way of using the work and adding a level of difficulty to the piece of work.
