Description
Encourage your early learners or special education students to increase their independence and teach basic task completion with this Winter Theme Workbook. Students will complete activities including basic errorless matching tasks, picture matching, color matching, shape matching, and sorting. This printable activity book is great for morning work or table time, as an early finisher task, small group instruction, or at an independent work station/center. You definitely need to add this workbook to your materials during the cold months of January and February! This resource would be a great addition to your Winter materials or to supplement an arctic animal unit. Workbook sheets could be used to differentiate academic tasks in a general education setting class for your self-contained special education students.
Winter themes in the workbook include winter clothing (mittens, scarves, boots, coats), arctic animals (penguin, polar bear, igloo) winter sports (sled, ski, ice skates, etc), and much more!
This Winter activity book includes 25 full pages of matching activities. Each page includes 6 corresponding matching pieces. One full page cover is included.
What's included in the Pirate workbook pages:
- Errorless Matching pages (9 total pages)
- Sorting by color (2 total pages)
- Sorting by size- Big/Little (2 total pages / each page includes an option with guides/outlines for matching hint or a blank page with no guides/outlines)
- Color matching (5 total pages)
- Picture matching (5 total pages)
- Shape matching (2 total pages)

Prep Directions:
- Print activity pages.
- Laminate pages.
- Cut out matching pieces.
- Put Velcro dot onto each full page and corresponding Velcro dot onto the back of each match piece. On the errorless pages, you can choose to place the Velcro dot anywhere on the page that you wish. These tasks are designed to be errorless, so there is no correct placement!
- Bind together into one full book -OR- use single sheets on their own as needed and use like a matching mat.
... The workbook pages are fairly quick to prep and you will love their long-lasting use. Can be used year after year!
This resource activity would be ideal for preschool, prek, or kindergarten classes, or special education classes like ECSE (Early Childhood Special Education), Early Intervention, or Autism classes, especially self-contained special education programs.
