Description

Looking for a quick, fun activity for your students to think about word choice?

Print or share these templates with your students. They pick an overused, boring word (e.g. nice, said, good, bad), and have to come up with synonyms that they could use instead. They then get to colour or decorate their page as they wish. I had each student take a different word, share their completed page with me, before compiling them all so we had a full word bank. Themes: Mario, Tetris, Pacman, Minecraft.

Can be completed on paper or online. Perfect for distance learning to get them off their screens. If they don't have a printer at home, challenge them to come up with their own artistic page in a computer game/animation theme!
