Help your students improve their decoding skills by practicing with Word Chunks. These are typed up from the Word Chunks we work on in 2nd grade in my school district, but are applicable to other grades as well.
My students love playing Go Fish with their Word Chunks in our room and once the procedure and rules were understood they took it and ran!
An added bonus is that it a great structure for them to practice basic social skills and problem solving. We discuss possible problems and solutions when learning the game.
