16 word families in a BUNDLE! Make word families fun with this interactive daily practice the kids will love! Challenge your young learners with stretching the words out and listening to beginning, middle, and ending sounds. Everyday there is something for them to do.
GOAL: By the end of the week they should understand that you can change the beginning of a word to make new words.
They should also know this week's word family by heart! Check out my the individual word families at Mint Crab Studio!
Word Families Included:
-at, -an, -am, -ay, -all, -ake, -ing, -ut, -ug, -un, -ub, -ip, -it, -op, -en, -et
Students should be saying the word as they practice the activities.
These are meant to be displayed on your Interactive Board. Display 1 a day during phonics time as you teach the word family. A good way to give more students a turn, is to have them mark an X on the nonexamples. That will show you that they know it's not in the word family. My students loved doing these everyday and I would hear about it if I had to skip a day! I hope your kids do too!
