Description

Problem solving is an essential skill, at every grade level, and should be practiced throughout the school year, not as an isolated unit. With this in mind, I created this set of 10 word problems in a fun kid theme. Each of the problems is based on cool facts and real-world scenarios, and requires students to do multiple steps to solve the problem. These are not specific to any season, so they can be used anytime!

These task cards would be ideal for small group centers, where students can collaborate to answer the questions. Sweeten things up with small packs of Starburst chews while students work!

Skills of focus: number operations, percent increase, fraction and percent, circumference & area of a circle, measures of central tendency, algebraic thinking.

This download includes:
• 10 kid themed task cards
• Answer Key
• Self Check QR Codes for each task card

Simply print, cut and laminate for year after year use.
Enjoy! ☺
