I created this method to help my students solve word problems! I found that strategies such as CUBES just didn't work for me and my students were more focused on what they are supposed to circle, underline, box, etc. than actually understanding the problem.
The 4S problem solving strategy is a known method used in business and more. I changed and adapted it to meet the needs of young students learning how to solve word problems.
