Description
Explicit and direct teaching of vocabulary has been proven to bolster comprehension enhancing overall reading performance. This set includes four weeks worth of vocabulary words introduced through sentences and text. I introduce five new words each week, add to that the related words and synonyms and antonyms and you can grow your students' tier two vocabularies by 40 words a month.
Included in this set are the following:
-Vocabulary journal printables
-Vocabulary words, definitions and cloze sentences for each word (pocket chart size)
-Meaningful vocabulary practice sheets
-Sentence writing sheet
-Lanyard word cards
-Vocabulary game spinners
