Description

Hello! I designed this lesson to help my students learn about citation, specifically for a Works Cited page and ultimately for an Annotated Bibliography. This assignment provides an example of a citation for various sources. Students are then required to take the information from the eight (8) pretend sources listed on the last page, and format them correctly into a Works Cited page. It is up to them to determine how each citation should look, based on the examples provided. They also must alphabetize the citations and format the page to correct MLA spacing, indentation, etc. I find this was extremely helpful for practicing citations prior to having to do them in an essay or annotated bibliography. I hope you find this helpful as well! BONUS: When they are submitted, they should literally be identical, so grading is easy. Make yourself a key, and then just hold them side by side to see the errors!
