Description
Use this resource to display photos of people from some of the major world religions. This is a visually stunning way to affirm the identities of students in your classroom community.
Use them as a visual aid for children or to prompt discussion. This resource can also be used during religion lessons or during your learning about traditions and faiths around the world.
These photo cards are a fantastic way to engage children with people from around the world who follow different religions. It is a great way to observe and prompt discussions about what similarities exist between us all.
Rich in colour and variety, this striking picture collection is extremely eye-catching for young children and really brings the topic to life. You could use them as a prompt to discuss the different faiths and how they have been practised through the centuries from ancient times to the present day. It is also a great way to engage in discussions on how people within one religion are not a monolith. I have tried to represent each religion with people from different ethnicities and/or countries, as well as showcasing people who are visibly belonging to a certain religion and those who are not visibly identifiable with a certain religion.
What's included:
* A total of 26 images of people from 6 different religions (Buddhism, Christianity, Judaism, Islam, Sikhism, Hinduism)
* One file with images 4 to a page
* One file with images 2 to a page
