Description
This product includes 14 handmade slides about the world's weirdest animals. You can import these slides into interactive platforms such as Google Slides, NearPod, and more. When I have taught this class, it takes about 30 minutes to get through the slides after bulking it up with games, quizzes, discussion, and videos of each animal.
In these slides, students will learn about 6 of the weirdest animals in the world in a countdown style. We will discuss each animal's habitat, lifespan, diet, and of course, what makes each species so uniquely weird. This class will also feature 2 on-screen hide-n-seek activities.
Having taught this class before, I recommend importing the slides to a more interactive platform such as Google Slides or Nearpod, as mentioned above. My students have really loved the "Time to Climb" activity on Nearpod, and I have also included videos of each animal in my live classes. As you wrap up the class, students love to have a chance to share what their favorite animal from the class was, or share their knowledge about another weird animal. These are just some suggestions on how to make the class more interactive and lengthy. However, this product will not include any of the aforementioned activities- just the basic slides.
