Going back to school and want to get your students talking and participating during online and in-person classes with a fun icebreaker? Engage and motivate all your students in a distance learning environment and during in-person classes with these fun Google Slides™ discussion starters, including those individuals reluctant to participate! Get to know your students and have students get to know each other! This product contains 101 Would You Rather questions on individual slides to encourage participation with compelling topics that promote interesting discussion and to help you build classroom community.
✨This product includes✨
- 108 editable Google Slides™ (101 questions)
- Teacher instructions
This resource is suitable for distance learning and in-person learning.
How I use these slides: At the end of each class, I share a Would You Rather? question with my grade 7/8 class and we take turns explaining our decisions. I emphasize that they should justify their choices with details and examples. I even share my own opinion and prompt students to discuss further with follow up questions. You can also use this as a Fun Friday activity and ask multiple questions! They would work well to start a class too.
We laugh, talk, and learn more about each other to build rapport. We always look forward to this daily activity at the end of class and some students have even counted down to “Question of the day” time!
Teacher Feedback:
"Just what I needed for Community Circle/Morning Meetings. Thank you for creating this! Students were always eager to share."
"A great way to engage students who willingly turn on their cameras to debate the 'correct' answer!"
"My students love these! Great for morning check ins and to get the kids talking."
"My students LOVED using this resource for our Daily Physical Activity. Lots of laughs and sweat! :)"
