Description
This is a set of 30 task cards which practice the skill writing equations that include and unknown number or variable. This set doesn't ask the student to solve for the variable. Thye are simply writing equations by replacing the "some number" with a variable.
These cards can be used as a SCOOT game, in small group centers, or as as independent activity.

Great resource to practice writing equations
This was a good review for my kids
These saved me so much time and were perfect! The answer key also helped! A lot of the task cards I have bought for math do not always include that. It allowed me to allow the students to self-check the work.
This is a great center activity for practicing writing equations.
Great. Students struggle with this concept.
Used these with my differentiated math group. They enjoyed the challenge of them.
I use these with stations review and my kids love them.
I just printed these out to use with my 5th graders! I recently revised the look of these task cards. Check out the update!
Thank you!
