Description

Editable!

I use these tabs, or pages, to organize student writing binders and separate them into 3 basic sections: information, projects in progress, and published drafts. They may also be glued into interactive writing notebooks to separate the same types of sections. My students take some time at the beginning of the year (or unit) to decorate their tabs as we set up the binders. These have been incredibly useful in keeping students organized!

Tab 1: INFOrmation- this section holds anchor charts, notes, word walls, graphic organizers, rubrics, etc.
Tab 2: Work On Writing- we call this the WOW section, and it holds all writing projects in progress.
Tab 3: Final- this section is for storing completed/graded pieces.
Tab 4: Editing Checklist- can be used back-to-back with the Final tab and gives students guidelines for checking their own work before publishing.
