Description

Writing Equations from Word Problems Task Cards (One-Step Equations)

Students will practice writing equations from word problems that result in one-step equations by working through these 12 task cards. Types of problems include addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division. Positive numbers only.

A recording worksheet is included for students to show work. They can check their answers by scanning the QR code on each card. Connection to the internet is not required to scan the code. However, a QR scanner app is required on the device. There are several free apps available to download.

If you haven't used QR codes in your classroom yet, I highly recommend them! Students love using the technology, and the self-checking makes it easier on the teacher! If you do not wish to use QR codes, I included a version of the cards without them.
