This is a handout that I created to serve as a tool and reminder for my students during our Personal Narrative writing unit. This could easily be shrunk to put on a bookmark, enlarged for an anchor chart, or printed as a tool. I had my students glue them into their writing journals.

For my mini-lesson we went through and brainstormed some possible words for each sense that they could choose to use in their writing. We use Lucy Calkins so I designed this based off of Session 4 of Small Moment Narrative Writing. But I think that this resource could be used for all writing to help students to think about adding details and strong or interesting words to their writing.
