Let your students choose what they write about each night for homework! You can then use these writings in class the next day to practice editing and revising skills on your students' own piece of writing. It becomes more meaningful when it is something they've written or their classmate has written. I recommend having the students write at least half of a page to have enough content to work with when editing and revising.
