After doing a brief author study on Chris Van Allsburg, students will review some works of Chris Van Allsburg and then will study his Harris Burdick drawings. Students will then use the plot pyramid to create their own fictional stories based on one of the Harris Burdick drawings.
This 50 page graphic organizer reviews the following topics and then allows students to brainstorm ideas which will help develop their fictional stories.
