Description

Looking for a fun and flexible way to differentiate your linear equations practice? This engaging, self-paced activity meets students where they’re at, offering multiple levels of difficulty so every learner can experience success. While students work independently toward a point goal, teachers can circulate and provide targeted, individualized support—making it perfect for a mixed-ability classroom!

How It Works:

Students complete problems at three different levels of difficulty. Each problem is worth a set number of points based on how challenging it is. Students choose which problems to solve and must earn a certain number of points to finish—building ownership, confidence, and motivation along the way!

✏️ What’s Included:

  • Printable student recording sheet
  • 4 levels of linear equation problems
  • Answers only key for easy grading
  • Worked out solutions

Skills Covered:

  • Writing linear equations from a graph
  • Writing linear equations given the slope and y-intercept
  • Writing linear equations when given two points on the line and the y-intercept.
  • Writing linear equations when given two points on the line

Grade Level:

  • Designed for Grades 7–9
  • Ideal for pre-algebra, algebra 1, or intervention/enrichment groups
