Description
This Writing Linear Equations from a Table 8th Grade Math Christmas Coloring Activity will motivate your students as they practice writing slope-intercept equations from tables! Students can use the slope formula or any other strategy with plenty of space for them to show their work on the worksheet before the color the fun Christmas coloring page.
The worksheet includes 8 multiple choice problems, each with three answer choices to choose from.
The tables include proportional linear relationships and nonproportional linear relationships. All equations are written in slope-intercept form, y=mx+b. Four of the tables have a portrait orientation where the x and y values are organized in columns and four of the tables have a landscape orientation where the x and y values are organized in rows.
SLOPES:
- Positive and negative integers
- Positive and negative fractions (proper and improper)
Y-INTERCEPTS:
- Positive integers
- Negative integers
- Zero (Proportional Relationships)
Students complete the color by code activity by using their answers as they identify each linear equation to color one of the included seasonal or holiday themed coloring sheets:
- FALL: Latte/Coffee Cup with Pumpkin - "But Most of All, I Love Fall," or
- WINTER: Gingerbread House - "Peppermint Palace"
An answer key is included for the worksheet and the coloring page.
