Description

Intro to Writing Function Rules

This is a brief 9 slide powerpoint presentation to introduce writing linear function rules. The presentation begins with a schematic of a function machine. Next the student is given some tables of values and asked to predict what the rule is that was applied to the input. The rules begin easy and become more difficult as the slides progress. Finally, the last slide mentions the fact that there must be an easier way to do this which leads straight into finding the rate of change and starting value to write the linear function rule.
