These posters are a great way to monitor your students' writing while making your students accountable for their time. The 5 steps displayed help teach students the process of creative writing.

As students progress in their writing by using the 5 steps displayed: planning, drafting, revising, editing, publishing - they move their number (numbers 1-37 were created for this purpose) to the appropriate step in which they are in.

Suggestion: Laminate the posters and numbers. I also recommend to put magnets behind the numbers (1-37), to make it easy for your students to track their progress.
