Description
This activity consists of four problems where students write a quadratic equation given a point and the vertex, and then convert the equation to standard form. Students work in pairs for this activity. Partner A is given a separate worksheet than Partner B, but each problem numbered the same has the same answer.
This file also includes a differentiated version which guides students through the process of substituting the point and vertex into the formula for vertex form.
This activity corresponds to Texas Algebra 1 TEKS: A.6B- write quadratic equations given the vertex and point, write quadratic equations in vertex form, and rewrite from vertex form to standard form.
This could be used as a homework assignment, classwork activity, or left side practice in an interactive notebook.
