This resource was developed This resource was developed for speech language therapy, special ed classrooms or ESL classes to support students’ abilities to generalize language skills they are practicing during speech/language therapy and work on writing in a functional, meaningful way using sight words, as well as words from the Edmark reading program. Students have the opportunity to respond to a simple question related to the function of each item (what do you do with it or what can it do?) on each page. Each page provides a word bank and a picture. Students practice putting the words from the word bank in the correct order to form a sentence about the picture.

Level 1 (the top half of each sheet) provides one of the words in the sentence with remaining words from the word bank to correctly sequence to create a sentence about the picture.

Level 2 (the bottom half of each sheet) allows the student to correctly sequence all the words from the word bank to create a sentence about the picture.
