"I love these puzzles so much and my students do too! They are essentially self checking and I can assign them as a project that can be done mostly outside of class. The students love trying to guess what shape the puzzle will turn out to be!"

Easy to set up and explain to students. I made a modified recording page that allowed me to see more of the student thinking on the page. I heard my students having great mathematical discussions about their problem solving as they worked through it together, and they enjoyed it. Overall a really great activity, and I definitely recommend it.

This was a great activity to introduce writing inequalities and solving one-step. My only wish is that several of the inequalities included negative numbers so students could get the practice with reversing the inequality sign.

Just updated it to include negatives/ some of which require reversing the inequality symbol. Thanks for your feedback!
