Experience

Welcome! I'm Sandra Riddle, M.Ed., author and designer of The Brighter Rewriter resources. My upper elementary specialties include learning games, reading passages, test pep & prep, and more. I taught 3rd grade for 22 years and have an additional 10 years of experience as an interventionist and ESL specialist in PK-5th. Now retired, I LOVE designing resources for TPT!

Teaching style

I love wordplay, vocabulary enrichment, and instructional games. My ideal classroom is organized and uncluttered. I vary my instructional strategies to reach all learners and infuse everything with a great sense of humor.

My own education history

I hold a B.S. in Elementary Education from the University of Mary-Hardin Baylor and an M.Ed. in Instructional Leadership from Sam Houston State University. I also have English as a Second Language and Special Education certifications, with extensive experience in Gifted Education.

Additional biographical information

I've been an avid equestrian most of my life and now keep in shape with yoga and strength training. For all Harry Potter fans, I'm married to Lord Voldemort! We have one daughter who is a graphic designer and professional photographer.
