Share

Description

Writing scientific conclusions is difficult for many students and as a result, I have created sentence starters that assists students in keeping track of what needs to be added in their lab write ups and conclusion writing.

There are 9 steps/sentence starters with details and examples that help students who need to see it first, before having the confidence to complete it on their own.

For environmental conservation, there are 2 sentence starter worksheets per page. Teacher will print starters and use a paper cutter horizontally.

As far as it goes, the resource is ok. The starter sentences are functional and useful. It does however just amount to 9 starters and only one example given. Students are often confused as to what a control is and what a constant is and having multiple examples there would have put this resource solidly in the 4-star range. Overall a nice handout but not sure it is worth the price.

It gives one example because the other examples are on the PowerPoint and group work handout. The sentence starters are for individual work. Students are well versed in what a control variable is by the time they use these starters. This is specifically used for students to craft a well written conclusion to experimentation.
