This is a packet of handouts, templates, samples, & practice ideas for analyzing & writing about data, graphs, & charts:

  2. Examples / Samples
    (Sample Data Narrative -Isolated & Embedded Data Narrative excerpt)
  3. Data for Practicing
    (Selected charts for practice & Suggested websites for practice data)

My students found these particularly helpful with writing synthesis arguments & research papers for standardized tests like AP/ACT/SAT. Good for classes like AP Language & Composition, AP Seminar, or nonfiction reading units in English courses (& maybe history or social science courses). This list is intended to aid teachers who teach the AP courses & is not endorsed by the College Board. Refer to College Board website for more details about courses & exams.
