Description
In this project, students are asked to design their own mathematical app that can be used to review Right Triangle Geometry and Trigonometry concepts. Students will explain their apps game scenario for review. They are then asked to demonstrate how to solve 5 problems. They must explain in writing how to solve these problems and provide helpful tips to their app's players on how to solve problems of a similar type.
In this edition, students will solve 5 problems involving Right Triangle Geometry and Trigonometry. The problem types include Geometric Mean, Pythagorean Theorem, Special Right Triangles, Right Triangle Trigonometry, and the Law of Sines and Law of Cosines.
Included in this product are:
1. The assignment

4. 3 Sample Problems from each section that can be used by students to aid in your correcting
5. The answer key to these problems.
6. A sample slide of what is expected in the project.

I used this project during distance learning after completing the unit on right triangles and trigonometry. Because our projects typically count as a test grade, I had to adjust the grading rubric to require a bit more of my students. The end results were so good! The students really enjoyed this project and I was blown away by some of their creativity. I am even considering tweaking the project to be able to use with my Algebra students as well. Great resource!!
