Description

Zendoodles or zentangles are one of the most useful and versatile art activities. Students can practice and explore patterns, shapes, and design. It can be assigned to those speedy artists who finish their project early or it could be a whole class fun art exploration day. The designs can be used to decorate pottery, visual journals, and so much more. It's applicable to students in elementary, middle, high school, and beyond. You are never too old to Zentangle. 

This printable worksheet shows a range of zendoodle design examples on the front through line, diagonals, arcs, circles, triangles, and spirals. The back of the worksheet provides a space for Zentangle practice before the students start in their sketchbooks, visual journals, or wherever else they want to incorporate fun designs.

Our school has an art night. Each class got to pick their own type of art and artist to create their individual art projects with. My class was unique this year and I decided to be brave and have them create zentangles. I was blown away with what the students did and this helped them get creative!
