Description
This engaging pack would be great as a Math Review or as a Halloween activity. It focuses on addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, order of operations and prime numbers. Your students will have lots of fun navigating the start of a zombie apocalypse whilst trying to crack some Math problems.
Included in this pack is a reading intro, which helps to set the scene. Between scenarios there is some reading to be done to fully understand what is going on and what needs to be done.
In total there are 6 code breaking pages needing various Math's skills. There is even a page at the end where the students need to pick a sum, calculate it, and then use the answer to determine their fate.
There are also some extended activities for after the Math Review to get your students thinking:
1. Extended writing (students need to further their ending by using their creativity)
2. Zombie Self-Portrait (students draw what they would look like as a zombie and include some adjectives to describe themselves)
3. Town Map (students create a map of the town that they have raced across)
4. The Cure (students create a cure for the zombie apocalypse by listing the ingredients needed and the method of making the cure)
