This is a pre engineering project about simple machines which make a complex machine. This shows you how to build each type of the simple machines. A lot of photos to let you see how to make them. It has a Rubric also. This takes about 2 weeks of class time and teaches terms like transfer of energy, gravitational energy, direction, force, mass, etc.. There is prep for this lesson because of the inexpensive material that will need to be gathered. I have taught this for 7 years in my classes. The students are always engaged.
