This math pixel art activity was created to help students with multiplication facts practice for multiplication by 6. It also includes some questions with missing factors. The multiplication pixel art activity provides students with multiplication fact fluency practice and teachers with a quick way to check students' understanding of basic multiplication facts.

As students fill out the answers to the multiplication problems, the pixels of the picture will start to appear. Students will know they have correctly completed the assignment when the picture is fully visible. This self-checking feature provided immediate feedback from students and no grading for teachers.

This activity is great for virtual learning days and it can be easily assigned using Google™ Classroom. I’ve used pixel art multiplication as part of my math assignments during alternative method of instruction days and my students really enjoy practicing their multiplication facts while trying to figure out the mystery picture that awaits them. This pixel art google sheet can also be used as a great pixel art review assignment within Google™ Classroom. It’s a fun way to provide a novel multiplication fact fluency opportunity for your students!
